About our Sunday services

Communion
We celebrate the sacrament of the Lord’s supper once a month on the second Sunday of each month, as we remember what was accomplished for us through Jesus’ death & resurrection and celebrate the finished work and our freedom in Christ.
Prayer meeting
Every 2 weeks we gather to pray before our service from 7:50 am-8:45 am. All are welcome to join. We encourage members to prioritise this, as prayer meetings are the engine room of the church.
Parking
Our parking space is limited and it does get very congested on a Sunday, so this may mean you may need to park down the road. In light of this, we recommend arriving earlier than expected to find parking and get a seat well before the service begins.

Questions about our Sunday Services
If you haven’t visited our church before, we hope you find these questions helpful to make your visit as smooth as possible
How should I dress?
TVBC is a “come as you are” church. Jeans and ties are equally welcome.
How are visitors welcomed?
We do welcome first time visitors and ask you to raise your hand briefly, so we can give you a welcome pack which contains information about the church. We would also love you to stay for refreshments so we can get a chance to welcome you personally and get to know you.
What’s available for my children?
We love Children! Children are always welcome in our worship service. As a matter of fact, we believe it is very important for our families to worship together. We have a well-equipped baby room should you feel more comfortable there with your baby. The baby room also includes a a live stream of the service so you don’t have to miss out on the worship or sermon! There is also a toilet and changing facilities in the baby room.
Our creche for toddlers ages 1-3 runs for the duration of the sermon, allowing parents to drop off their children with the team of helpers and focus on the message..
We also run a program called Bible Time for 4 – 12 year-olds. This commences just before the sermon and is a teaching program geared to impart biblical knowledge to your child at his or her level.
For teens, we encourage them to join in on the service, to bring a Bible and stay in for the sermon. This helps teens develop in their faith and adjust to being a part of the wider church body. There are worksheets provided for them that fits with the sermon being preached.
Our vision is that families worship together and all study the same scripture each week, as far as possible.
What type of music will there be?
We see worship as the means to glorify God’s name and prepare our hearts to hear his word taught. A blended style of worship is the norm for our worship service – hymns and contemporary songs are both well-loved. For us, it isn’t as much about style as it is heart, and everything we do in our services is biblically accurate and lifts high God’s name.
Will I be asked to give money?
Offerings are given as an act of worship for attendees who call TVBC their home. We teach and believe in Biblical stewardship. For new visitors, your presence is a gift to us. We want you to be blessed without feeling any obligation to give.
We no longer collect giving in the church service by passing a plate, as most of the giving is done online. There is a box at the back of the church hall if you desire to give a contribution in cash. To make a contribution to the church via EFT, click here
